Annual Events
Blessing of the Fleet
“This year commemorates the 81st Annual “Blessing of the Fleet.” Through the decades, this congregation has blessed the men and women who harvest the seas, praying for their safety, for a bountiful return on their labor, and asking that they may be good stewards of God’s abundance. The Blessing was held at the Fishermen’s Memorial Site at Fishermen’s Terminal on Sunday, March 8th.”

Norwegian Constitution Day
or “grunnlovsdag,” commonly known as “Syttende Mai”
or the 17th of May is a celebration of the day in 1814 when Norway’s constitution was signed in the town of Eidsvoll, Norway. In the Greater Seattle (especially the Ballard area), the day has been celebrated since 1889 with proclamations, speeches, and a parade. Enjoy life and the freedom we have.
