This will be an informal conversation, with the object of touching base with and hearing from the Ballard community where light rail is currently being planned. Since Seattle elected officials will be weighing in on decision-making about the project on the citywide and neighborhood scales, the purpose of this conversation is to equip them with community perspectives along the alignment.

WSDOT representatives will describe the plans for the closure of the viaduct and opening of the tunnel, as well as reconstruction of the surface streets in the tunnel area.

Request for Nominating Committeee members who will put together a slate of members to serve as BDC board members/officers in 2019. The new board members
will be voted on at the Nov 14 BDC mtg.
Thomas Whittemore from Seattle DON will talk about a city idea to rename 22nd Ave NW in front of the Ballard Library for former Seattle DON employe Rob Mattson, who served as the City neighborhood coordinator for Ballard for many years.
